Musical Sculpture In Reverse

Here I’m at Strathmore again! This sculpture is called “Margaret’s Muse”. It was created by Ann Ruppert and dedicated to Margaret Vogel Pfanstiehl. I wanted my last drawing to be done in reverse value and was looking for a subject. The sculpture seemed a good fit. I’m fascinated by the concept of “drawing with light”. I really enjoyed doing this en plein air for about 3 hours! The clean lines of the sculpture, white marble and a picturesky forest on the background have made for another romantic piece.
It was a great project, I enjoyed working on it!
