About

Hello! My name is Alex Rogozin.

In 2022, I graduated from Montgomery College, Maryland, with two Associate’s degrees in Digital Animation and Digital Media and Web Technology. Currently, I’m a student at University of Maryland Baltimore County, working toward my B.F.A. in Visual Arts (Animation). Visual Arts have been my passion since my early childhood. I have Autism. It means overcoming many obstacles and difficulties. My art has been a way to express myself and to persevere. I use diverse media, from high contrast black and white ink drawings to experiments with richness of color palette. My animation style has been influenced by such cartoonists as Joe Murray and Chuck Jones, and such series as “Rocko’s Modern Life” and others. It feels fantastic to be able to bring the characters I had envisioned to life.

I am passionate about traveling and immersing myself into different cultures and histories. I believe sharing our diverse experiences and finding our similarities and common goals lead to mutual enrichment and a better world. I was lucky to have studied abroad in Rome. I hope to find opportunities to work in different countries in the future.

I care deeply about environmental protection, animal welfare, and rights of people with disabilities. I have volunteered in shelters and at a camp for kids with Special Needs.

In my spare time, I like drawing cartoons, lifting weights, playing video games, riding my bike, hanging out with friends and snuggling with my two cats.
